Thomas John Donahue

Thomas J. Donahue was an American labor leader who served as secretary-treasurer of the AFL-CIO from 1979 to 1995 and as its president in 1995, where he was known for advocating labor renewal amid economic and political change. He was born in New York City in 1938 and later became a prominent figure in organized labor leadership in the United States.
