Nava Atlas
Nava Atlas is an American vegan and plant-based cookbook author, illustrator, and fine artist known for her groundbreaking 1984 book Vegetariana and numerous subsequent vegan cookbooks. She received her B.F.A. from the University of Michigan in 1977 and her M.A. in Art Studio from SUNY New Paltz in 2007, and she lives and works in the Hudson Valley region of New York State. Her work spans vegan cooking, social justice, women's issues, and visually driven books exploring gender roles and classic female authors.
