Jordan Ellenberg
Jordan Ellenberg is an American mathematician and author born in 1971 in Potomac, Maryland, recognized for his work in arithmetic algebraic geometry and number theory.[1][2][4] A math prodigy who won gold medals at the International Mathematical Olympiad, he earned his B.A. and Ph.D. from Harvard and is the John D. MacArthur Professor of Mathematics at the University of Wisconsin–Madison.[2][4][7] He has authored bestselling books like *How Not to Be Wrong* and *Shape*, as well as the novel *The Grasshopper King*.[2][4]
