James Milton Villas was an American food writer, critic, and author known for his advocacy of traditional Southern cuisine and his sharp opposition to culinary trends. He served as food and wine editor at *Town & Country* magazine from 1972 to 1999 and wrote numerous cookbooks, magazine articles, and novels.[1][3]
