Franklyn Mansfield Branley
Franklyn Mansfield Branley was an acclaimed children's science author born in New Rochelle, New York, who authored over two hundred books throughout his career. He founded and co-edited the influential 'Let's-Read-and-Find-Out-About-Science' series in the 1960s and created multiple experiment series books designed to teach scientific principles to young readers using household objects. He received numerous literary awards, including the Edison Award for Outstanding Children's Science Book in 1961 for 'Experiments in Sky Watching.'
