This is the story of Evan Mundy, a wounded veteran from World War I, who tries to rebuild his life in the small Town of Monson, Maine, on the edge of the vast Maine North Woods. His tumultuous personal life and his devoted service as a Maine Game Warden prepared him for World War II.
