Olivia couldn't live with her rocky marriage to Laurent Aumont, one of France's foremost vignerons a day longer and left him. Perhaps their totally different characters and different outlooks on life meant they shoulder never have got together in the first place, and as it turned out they wouldn't have but for the machinations of her grandmother. The situation was not helped by the obvious fact that Laurent was consistently unfaithful.
