How did Mrs. Collins endure her marriage to the insipid Mr. Collins? What became of the bitter Lady Catherine and her sickly daughter, Anne de Bourgh, whose sheltered existence now must also progress? Caroline Bingley was said to have dropped all her resentment after Mr. Darcy's marriage for her own good, but had she really? And might she find a suitor of her own to rival him and to satisfy her ambitions? Progression is a continuation of Jane Austen's classic story that covers the first year of Mr. and Mrs. Darcy's marriage, where much more happens than one might think. Other characters return, such as Mr. Wickham, and new characters are introduced, including a mischievous nobleman who manages to influence everyone's behavior in one way or another. Though this story is 239,000 words, there is very little in terms of "filler" as I try to keep things interesting and move it along at a fast pace. The story is mostly clean with only a couple of scenes more explicit, which you are welcome to skip without missing anything.
