The School and Society & The Child and the Curriculum by American philosopher, psychologist, and educational reformer John Dewey, where originally published in 1899 and 1902 respectively. The School and Society was Dewey's first published work of length on education, that lay the foundations for his later works on the same topic. The Child and the Curriculum, lays out a child and community centered classroom curriculum that would help meet the educational demands of a modern democratic society.
