Clifford Pond writes of a lifetime of pastorial ministry, having served as at various times by responsible leadership in young people's fellowship's, associations of churches and the council of Grace Baptist Mission. Now in retirement, Clifford writes in a warm friendly style which well reflects the personal nature of the experiences that he has gained over the years, in which he has helped churches to develop in New Testament maturity. He has not shirked difficult aspects of the establishment of eldership in churches, but has sought to offer a careful and balanced discussion of them for rhe help of 'ordinary believers'.
