Melody Hudson is a dedicated police officer, and she loves her life on the force. When her former neighbor, Chase Carter, returns to town to take a position as principal of the local high school, chance throws Melody and Chase together often in their respective professional roles and sparks begin to fly.<p>Melody would rather forget her childhood with Chase. To her chagrin, as a young teen, she followed him around like a puppy, even proposing to him just before he left for college. Meanwhile, after seeing a decidedly grown up Melody, Chase is enchanted, and he soon falls hard for the feisty beauty.
