Best Margaret Mayhew book yet!

I am a fan of historical fiction, especially those set during WWII. As a result, I have become a fan of Margaret Mayhew. I do not pass up an opportunity to read one of her books. The Pathfinder, I believe, is the best of her books. It is rich in historical data of post-war Berlin; the deprivation of food, shelter, financial stability and the amazing resilience of the German and English people whom both find themselves digging out from their bombed out cities. Details of political intrigue and the massive airlifts required to sustain the inhabitants of Berlin were masterfully presented, as were the seeds planted for the Cold War. Loved the book! Read more
