I LOVE this Series!!!!

**ARC provided by publisher and author in exchange for an honest review** I absolutely LOVE this series and Toni Aleo's writing style. This series was my very first Hockey Themed series and I will say that it is for sure my FAVORITE series!!! This book is book 4 in the series and I have to say that the books just keep getting better as they come out. I will always be a Shea and Ellie Fan but I have to say that I really liked Piper and Erik. This book was written so well that the author actually had me hating and loving the hero at the same time. Toni did warn us that Erik would be different from her past hockey heroes....and boy was she right. I have to say that I was pissed at Erik for the majority of this book. But while I was pissed at him, my heart also broke for him. He was such a broken soul. We find out a lot of Erik's past in this book and what he went through was horrific and I could see why he had the issues he had. Erik wasn't the loving and tender hero that we have seen in the past books....He is one that you will need some time to warm up to him, but I will say that he will definitely win you over in the end :) I really liked Piper....I thought she was a strong character. She definitely put up with a lot of junk from Erik. I know I would've thrown him to the curb long before she did. With that said it just proved that Piper really loved Erik inside and out. She loved him unconditionally, which is something he wasn't used to. I thought that these two characters really worked well together. This story really does show that opposites do attract and can make it work out in the end. If you are a fan of Toni's and the Assassins Series then you are going to want to read this book!!!! and if you haven't yet met the Assassins Hockey Team....what are you waiting for. This series is one of the best hockey related love stories I have read. Plus you can't help but fall in love with Shea, Lucas, Tate, and Erik :) Read more
