Yulia E. Karpeshina

Yulia E. Karpeshina is a Professor of Mathematics at the University of Alabama at Birmingham and Director of the Graduate Program.[1] Born in Saint-Petersburg, Russia, she obtained her Ph.D. in Mathematics from Saint-Petersburg State University in 1984 and moved to the United States in 1995.[1] Her research focuses on mathematical methods in quantum mechanics and solid state physics, particularly perturbation theory for Schrödinger operators with periodic and quasi-periodic potentials.[1][4]
