YOTAM OTTOLENGHI
Yotam Ottolenghi is an Israeli-born British chef, restaurateur, and food writer, born in Jerusalem on December 14, 1968, to parents of Italian-Jewish and German-Jewish descent. He studied comparative literature at Tel Aviv University, moved to London in 1997 to train at Le Cordon Bleu, and co-founded the Ottolenghi deli chain in 2002 with Sami Tamimi. Renowned for his bestselling cookbooks like Ottolenghi: The Cookbook (2008), Plenty (2010), and Jerusalem (2012), he writes weekly columns for The Guardian and The New York Times, blending Middle Eastern and global flavors.
