Yann Martel

Yann Martel is a Canadian author best known for his 2001 novel Life of Pi, which won the 2002 Man Booker Prize and was later adapted into an Academy Award-winning film. Born to Canadian diplomat parents, he spent much of his childhood in various countries before studying philosophy and turning to writing full time.
