Wole Soyinka

Akinwande Oluwole Babatunde Soyinka is a Nigerian playwright, poet, novelist, and essayist. He was awarded the Nobel Prize in Literature in 1986, becoming the first sub-Saharan African to be honored in that category. Soyinka's work often critiques political corruption and oppression, drawing on Nigerian culture and history.
