Witness Lee
Witness Lee was born in 1905 in northern China, raised in a Christian family, and at age 19 consecrated himself to preach the gospel, later collaborating closely with Watchman Nee in establishing local churches and publishing ministries across China. In 1949, he moved to Taiwan at Nee's direction to preserve their work, growing the churches from 350 to over 20,000 believers in five years, and in 1962 immigrated to the United States where he ministered for 35 years, delivering thousands of messages published in over 400 titles. He emphasized the 'God-ordained way' of small group meetings and continued serving until his last conference in 1997 at age 91.
