Winston Garrett

Winston Jarrett, also known as 'Flames,' is a Jamaican reggae and rocksteady pioneer born in Lime Tree Gardens, Saint Ann Parish, who moved to Kingston's Jonestown at age five. He joined Alton Ellis's backing group The Flames in 1965, later forming The Righteous Flames in 1969, and recorded with producers like Coxsone Dodd and Lee 'Scratch' Perry.[1][2][4][5]
