William W Lawton

William Cranston Lawton (1853–1941) was an American author and educator known for his work in classical studies. He helped decipher inscriptions from the first American archaeological expedition to Assos and later edited the *Library of the World's Best Literature*, writing widely for popular audiences.[10]
