William McCullough 1815-1889 Darlington

William McCullough Darlington (1815-1889) was born in Pittsburgh to Benjamin Darlington and Agnes McCullough, educated at private schools and Jefferson College (now Washington & Jefferson College), and became a respected attorney, member of the Pennsylvania Bar Association for fifty years, and Vice President of the Pennsylvania Historical Society.[3] He was a devout Presbyterian and contributed to historical works, including editing Christopher Gist's journals and authoring 'The Montours'.[1][2][3]
