William Lashner

William Lashner is a former Philadelphia trial lawyer and New York Times bestselling author known for his legal thrillers and crime novels featuring the morally ambiguous character Victor Carl. Born in 1956, he has served as a trial attorney in the U.S. Justice Department's Criminal Division and is a graduate of NYU Law School and the University of Iowa Writers' Workshop. His works, including Hostile Witness, Killer's Kiss, and The Barkeep, have been translated into over a dozen languages and earned Edgar Award nominations.
