William Kilbourn

William Morley Kilbourn OC FRSC (1926–1995) was a Canadian author, historian, professor, and politician who served as a Toronto alderman and founding chairman of the Humanities Division at York University.[1][2] He wrote on Canadian history, including economics, religion, biography, architecture, and the arts, with notable works like *Toronto Observed* and *Intimate Grandeur: One Hundred Years at Massey Hall*.[1][2] After studying at Oxford and Harvard, Kilbourn joined York University's faculty in 1962 and was recognized for his contributions as an academic, social activist, and supporter of the arts.[1][5]
