William Henry Denham Rouse

William Henry Denham Rouse was a pioneering British teacher of classics who advocated the Direct Method for teaching Latin and Greek. He is renowned for his plain English prose translations of Homer's epic poems, the Iliad and the Odyssey, as well as Plato's Dialogues.
