William H Gass

William H. Gass (1924–2017) was an American novelist, short story writer, essayist, critic, and philosophy professor known for his experimental and stylistically inventive prose. He wrote three novels and seven volumes of essays, and his work earned honors including the American Book Award and multiple National Book Critics Circle Awards.[1][2][5]
