William Godwin
William Godwin was an English political philosopher, novelist, and social thinker of the British Enlightenment, widely regarded as the founder of philosophical anarchism and a precursor to utilitarianism. He is best known for his seminal work 'An Enquiry Concerning Political Justice' (1793) and the novel 'Things as They Are; or, The Adventures of Caleb Williams' (1794), both of which critiqued traditional institutions and advocated for individual freedom and reason.
