William Croft
William Croft is an American linguist and Professor Emeritus at the University of New Mexico, known for developing radical construction grammar and authoring books on typology, universals, semantics, and cognitive linguistics.[1][6][8] He previously held positions at the University of Manchester from 1994 to 2005, advancing from research fellow to professor.[1] His research interests include typology, semantics, cognitive linguistics, construction grammar, and language change.[8]
