Willard Van Orman Quine

Willard Van Orman Quine (1908–2000) was an American philosopher and logician in the analytic tradition, widely regarded as one of the most influential philosophers of the 20th century. He made major contributions to logic, philosophy of language, epistemology, and metaphysics, and is especially known for challenging the analytic-synthetic distinction and for his naturalized approach to epistemology.
