Wilga M Rivers

Wilga Marie Rivers (1919–2007) was an Australian linguist, academic, and influential author in language pedagogy. She served as Professor Emerita of Romance Languages and Literatures at Harvard University, where she taught and coordinated language instruction until her retirement in 1989, advocating for communicative language teaching methods over the audiolingual approach.
