Wilfred Martens

Wilfried Martens was a Belgian politician and statesman who served as Prime Minister of Belgium for a total of nearly 13 years, from 1979 to 1992. He also played a major role in European politics as president of the European People’s Party from 1990 until his death in 2013 and was one of the founders of the party's political foundation.[1][2][4]
