Wang Ming

Wang Ming (1904-1974) was a prominent Chinese Communist Party leader and head of the "Internationalist" group that opposed Mao Zedong's nationalist approach. He studied at Sun Yat-sen University in Moscow, where he mastered Marxist-Leninist theory and became a major rival to Mao in the 1930s. Wang played a key role in drafting the "August First Manifesto" of 1935, which shifted the CCP toward an anti-Japanese united front with the Nationalist Party.
