W. Rathbone

William Rathbone (1819-1902) was a prominent Liverpool-born philanthropist and Liberal politician who served as a Member of Parliament from 1880 to 1895. He is best known as the 'Father of English District Nursing' for revolutionizing healthcare for the poor by collaborating with Florence Nightingale to establish district nursing in Victorian England.[1][3][4]
