W. Owen Cole

W. Owen Cole was a pioneering British educationist and author of more than 30 books on religious studies and world faiths. He had a distinguished career in Religious Education and was instrumental in transforming the field from Christian-focused instruction to multifaith education. Cole co-founded the Shap Working Party on World Religions and Education in 1969 and was particularly recognized for his expertise on Sikhism and commitment to accurate representation of faith communities in schools.
