W. Holdsworth

Sir William Searle Holdsworth (1871–1944) was a distinguished English legal historian and the Vinerian Professor of English Law at the University of Oxford. He is best known for his monumental 17-volume work, 'A History of English Law,' which remains a foundational text in the field of legal history.
