W. Charles Sawyer

Charles W. Sawyer was an American lawyer, diplomat, and Democratic Party politician. He served as U.S. secretary of commerce under President Harry S. Truman from 1948 to 1953 and previously held roles including lieutenant governor of Ohio and U.S. ambassador to Belgium and Luxembourg.
