Volker A. Erdmann

Volker Alfred Erdmann was a German biochemist specializing in ribonucleic acids (RNA) and the founder of RiNA. He served as a professor at the Freie Universität Berlin's Institut für Biochemie and died on September 11, 2015, at the age of 74.
