Vivian Cook

Vivian Cook was a British applied linguist and emeritus Professor of Applied Linguistics at Newcastle University, renowned for his pioneering work on second-language acquisition and multicompetence. He authored numerous textbooks and popular books on linguistics and was a founding member of the European Second Language Association (EuroSLA).
