Vivek Shraya

Vivek Shraya is a Canadian musician, writer, visual artist, and filmmaker known for her multidisciplinary work across music, literature, film, theatre, and fashion. Raised in Western Canada, she began releasing music at age 13, completed a degree in English at the University of Alberta, and now lives in Calgary where she teaches creative writing at the University of Calgary. A seven-time Lambda Literary Award finalist and three-time Canadian Screen Award winner, she founded the imprint VS. Books to support emerging BIPOC writers.
