Vitor Bento

Vítor Augusto Brinquete Bento is a Portuguese banker, economist, and author born in Estremoz on June 25, 1954. He served as CEO of Novo Banco from August to September 2014, held senior roles at the Bank of Portugal and European Commission, and currently chairs the Portuguese Banking Association (APB) since 2021. He is an invited professor at universities like Católica and Lisbon, and author of books on economics, European affairs, and strategy.
