Virginia Luling
Virginia Luling was a British ethnologist and anthropologist who specialized in Somali culture, holding a PhD in Social Anthropology from 1972 and conducting extensive field research in Afgooye, Somalia. She was a dedicated human rights advocate, working with Survival International from 1983 to 2004, and authored notable works including 'Somali Sultanate: The Geledi City State over 150 years'.
