Virginia Haviland

Virginia Haviland was an American librarian, author, and editor who became an influential authority on children's literature. She is best known for founding the Children's Book Section at the Library of Congress and for her “Favorite Fairy Tales” series, which retold folktales from many countries.[1][10]
