Vincent L. Rogers

Vincent 'Vin' Rogers was an influential educator and innovator in education, born in New York City in 1926, who attended Franklin K. Lane High School, played jazz trumpet, and graduated from Cornell University with a degree in History before pursuing a career in teaching.[2] He served as a principal at a young age, earned an advanced degree in 1957, and joined the University of Massachusetts School of Education, later becoming involved in international educational leadership, including a Fulbright Fellowship in England and authoring 'The Social Studies in English Education' (1968).[2] He resided in Storrs, CT, and passed away on December 3, 2020, at age 93.[5]
