Vincent Gerard

Vincent Gerard O'Sullivan is a versatile New Zealand author, poet, playwright, scholar, and editor, often regarded as a 'man for all seasons' in New Zealand literature. Born in Auckland in 1937, he earned an M.A. from the University of Auckland and a B. Litt. from Oxford, later serving as a lecturer at Victoria University of Wellington and senior lecturer at Waikato University. His acclaimed novel *Let the River Stand* is considered a classic of New Zealand literature for its perceptive characterization and complex narrative structure.[1]
