Victoria Strauss

Victoria Strauss is an American author of nine fantasy novels for adults and young adults, including the Stone series and the Way of Arata duology (The Burning Land and The Awakened City), as well as historical novels for teens like Passion Blue and Color Song. Born in 1955 in Exeter, New Hampshire, she graduated from Vassar College with a degree in Comparative Religion and co-founded Writer Beware, a publishing watchdog group. She published her first novel, The Lady of Rhuddesmere, at age 17 and became a full-time writer in 1999.
