Victor Villasenor
Victor Villaseñor is an American author born on May 11, 1940, in Carlsbad, California, to Mexican immigrant parents, best known for his national bestseller Rain of Gold, which chronicles his family's story from the Mexican Revolution to modern times. Overcoming dyslexia, discrimination, and numerous rejections after writing nine novels and 65 short stories, he published his first novel Macho! in 1973, compared to John Steinbeck's works, and later penned memoirs like Burro Genius. He is also a motivational speaker and founder of the Snowgoose Global Thanksgiving nonprofit promoting peace.
