Victor R. Baker
Victor R. Baker is a Regents' Professor of Hydrology and Atmospheric Sciences, Geosciences, and Planetary Sciences at the University of Arizona, where he has held positions since 1996.[1][2] He earned a B.S. in Geology from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in 1967 and a Ph.D. in Geology from the University of Colorado in 1971, specializing in paleohydrology, geomorphology, flood processes, and planetary geomorphology, including Mars hydrology.[1][2] Baker is a prolific author of scientific books and over 442 articles, and he authored 'The Channels of Mars' while contributing to Britannica.[5][7]
