V. S. Ramachandran

V. S. Ramachandran is an Indian-American neurologist and neuroscientist known for influential research in behavioral neurology, visual perception, phantom limb syndrome, and related aspects of brain plasticity. He earned his medical degree in India and a Ph.D. from the University of Cambridge, and has held faculty positions at the University of California, San Diego, where he directed the Center for Brain and Cognition.
