Ulf Lennart Nilsson (1948–2021) was a prolific Swedish writer who published over 100 books and picture books, primarily for children and adolescents, often featuring animals with human traits, humor, and themes of good triumphing over evil.[1][2] He served as the longtime president of the Swedish Academy for Children's Books and won prestigious awards including the August Prize and Astrid Lindgren Prize, with many works translated into multiple languages.[1][2][7]
