Tracy Deonn

Tracy Deonn is an American author and #1 New York Times bestselling writer of the Legendborn Cycle, including her debut novel Legendborn (2020), which won the Coretta Scott King–John Steptoe Award for New Talent and the Ignyte Award for Best Young Adult Novel.[1][2] She grew up in central North Carolina, earned multiple degrees from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in communication and performance studies, and worked in live theater, video game production, and K-12 education before becoming a full-time author.[7][8]
