Tony Morrison

Toni Morrison (1931-2019) was an American novelist and editor who became the first Black woman to win the Nobel Prize in Literature in 1993. Known for her epic themes, poetic prose, and richly detailed depictions of African-American characters and experiences, she published acclaimed novels including The Bluest Eye, Song of Solomon, and Beloved, which won the Pulitzer Prize in 1988.
